参考文献:贵州苗族姊妹节主要是指贵州省台江县、施秉县以及剑河县部分地区的苗族人民在每年季春时节由妇女们主持的吃姊妹饭的节日。时间因地而异,俗定于阴历二月十五或三月十五。节日礼仪古朴独特,最为典型壮观的要数台江县施洞地区清水江畔的三月十五至十七苗族姊妹节。
苗族姊妹节,又称苗族情人节。节日以青年妇女为中心、邀约情人们相聚同吃姊妹饭。郊游踩鼓、游方对歌、互赠信物、订立婚约,真实地展现人类社会由母系氏族社会向父系氏族社会变迁的男女情爱生活景象,此间,古老悠久的苗族歌舞服饰艺术、剽悍惊心的舞龙斗牛娱乐活动。宁静温馨的农家田间生活与追求返璞归真的现代旅游活动交织互动,正在成为大西南现代旅游经济的一道亮丽风景……
据苗族古歌记述,过去,苗族聚居的地方,都有过姊妹节的习俗,从正月间至三月间,分别选不同的日子,以不同的形式过。施洞地区的姊妹节,最有代表性,是苗族的情人节,一个被喻为“藏在花蕊里的节日”。
姊妹节的传说,主要来自长达五百多行的《姊妹节歌》。相传,有两个姨妈的子女,男的叫金丹,女的阿姣,他们俩从小青梅竹马,两小无猜,长大后,彼此产生了爱情,金丹一定要娶阿姣,阿姣也非嫁金丹不可。但是,阿姣的父母要让她嫁回舅家(旧时苗家习俗称还娘头)。阿姣不愿嫁回舅家,一定要嫁金丹;金丹也不愿娶别人,一直在等着阿姣。他们为了忠贞的爱情,天天都偷偷约会。因怕父母和寨老发现,他们俩相约在野外谈情说爱。每次,阿姣都用她装针线的竹篮偷偷地藏着饭带去给金丹吃。年复一年,经过一番磨难和顽强不屈的抗争,他俩终于结成了夫妻。于是便有了“姊妹饭”的典故,即苗语叫带给情人吃的食物为“藏饭(gad liangl)”,汉语意译为“姊妹饭”。
后来,不知过了多少年,传说施洞地区有八百个姑娘因找不到男朋友而嫁不出去;三丙大塘地方有八百个青年男子,也因找不到媳妇而打单身。老年人们想起了阿姣、金丹吃“姊妹饭”的典故,教姑娘们用阿姣、金丹的办法,把三丙大塘八百个青年男子邀请来吃“姊妹饭”。这样,人人都找到了自己的意中人,一双双、一对对结成了眷属。从此以后,吃“姊妹饭”就演变成为以青年男女间挑选情侣为主要内容的节日活动。
施洞地区吃“姊妹饭”活动十分热闹,每年农历三月,当节日临近的时候,远近的苗族村寨都忙碌起来,准备迎接和参加这一年一度的盛大节日活动。
农历三月十三日,各村寨的苗族姑娘们,都上山去采撷染糯米饭的黑树叶子和黄花染成黑黄或多色的糯米饭。十四日前晌,姑娘们都下田里去捕鱼捞虾(不管是谁家的田);后晌,姑娘们每人拿来一大碗彩色糯米饭、两个鸭蛋(炒虾子用的)和一些钱(多少不拘)用来买鸭。为什么只要鸭和鸭蛋,而不用鸡和鸡蛋?因为鸭能过河,象征能过到彼岸与情人成双。这一切准备齐全了,年龄相近的姑娘们都分别各自集中到一户人家里(最好是没有男孩子或男孩子很小的人家,这才好接待外地来的男朋友),然后夜里就在那儿与外地来的男人们共吃“姊妹饭”。饭后,大家相约到村中的广场上或巷闾去唱歌谈情,通宵达旦。
三月十五至十七日是节日的正式活动时间,也是热闹的高潮。白天,姑娘们都身穿漂亮的衣裙,佩戴着华丽的银饰,到郎西(地名,汉译杨家坪)去观看斗牛、斗雀;同与自己一道吃“姊妹饭”的男子们跳芦笙和跳木鼓舞;夜里,又象十四日夜那样,男女相聚在村中广场或巷闾唱歌谈情。这时,姑娘们(分作不同年龄的许多批)用竹篮盛着各人的彩色糯米饭团和鱼、肉、鸭蛋等礼物,赠送给两天来陪伴她们的男子们。到来年姊妹节时候,这些青年男子们,集体筹钱买了礼物(绣花丝线、绸缎等等)盛在姑娘们去年赠送礼物的竹篮里,带回赠送给姑娘们(叫还竹篮)。如此经过多次的你来我往,使相互间的了解加深,进而产生并倾诉爱慕之情,最终结为伉俪。
二、节日活动过程
准备:节日前,姑娘们要到田间捞鱼,古时不论哪家的田鱼都可捞,田主一般不加干预。每户均到坡上采“姊妹花”以制作“嘎良” (糯米饭),并煮好“嘎良”,备足酒菜。
节日过程:大部分地区是姑娘们自愿筹集蛋、肉、鱼、酒和姊妹饭等食品聚餐,款待应邀前来的后生们。后生们来到家之后,作为东道主的姑娘,要邀约寨上姊妹们前来相陪,大家一边喝酒、吃姊妹饭,一边对歌。姊妹饭在老屯、施洞一带染成红、紫、绿、黄等不同的颜色,晶莹透亮、清香可口。其余地区染成乌色,又称乌米饭,均是从山坡上采摘一种清香的嫩叶染制而成。对歌时,男女分别两排坐定后,摆开阵势,拉开战幕对歌,以歌传情。对歌的内容十分广泛。有古歌盘问和情歌对唱等,姑娘们用歌盘问姊妹节的来历及姊妹饭象征什么等,你唱我答,歌声不绝。通过生动的比喻、丰富的联想、抒发真情。唱到最后,谁对答不来,或所唱的与对方唱的不合拍,答非所问等,谁就算输。如果姑娘们输了,就要送男方一件礼物,如手圈、耳环、戒指等;若是男方输了,以前送姑娘银手圈,现在送手表或有纪念意义的礼品。赢方也要回谢相当价值的礼物。如是双方自愿互赠的礼品,大多就是订婚的信物。
节日期间,一些中老年男子也相约到邻近寨子去与相应年龄的妇女们对歌,情景与年轻人对唱相似。
节日中,除了这些活动外,还要举行踩鼓、斗牛、斗鸟、赛马等活动。
节日结束,后生们要回去时,姑娘们用新竹篮或新帕子盛姊妹饭,送给后生们带回作礼物。得到姑娘们送的姊妹饭,就意味着姑娘已有好感。若没有姑娘送,男生们还可以去向姑娘们“讨”,讨时装得可怜稀稀的,并随口说:“请送一口嘎良吃,遮遮蚊虫咬吧!”姑娘们往往觉得同情而慷慨相送。在送后生的饭筐和帕包里,机敏的姑娘们往往悄悄藏着标记,如松叶、竹勾、活鸡鸭、香椿芽、辣椒或大蒜等,传达种种情意。
三、节日信物寓意
姊妹饭颜色的象征意义:绿色象征家乡美丽如清水江,红色象征寨子发达昌盛,黄色象征五谷丰登,紫蓝色象征富裕殷实,白色象征纯洁的爱情。
姊妹饭标记的意义:①藏松叶:代表针,暗示后生们以后要回赠姑娘绣针和花线。②挂竹勾:暗示用伞酬谢,挂几勾送几把伞,若放两个相互套着的竹勾,则表示希望日后多来与姑娘来往。③放香椿芽:表示姑娘愿与后生成婚。因苗语称椿芽为“娥扬”,“扬”的意思是“引”和“娶”,姑娘以此暗示希望后生早日来迎娶。④放棉花:则暗示姑娘们很思念后生们。因苗语称棉花为“忍”,与苗语“想念”同意,故借以暗示思念的情意。⑤放芫奚菜:其意和暗示与春芽菜相同,因苗语称此菜为“娥扬奚”,“扬”的意义与上同。⑥放棉花和芫奚菜:则表示急于成婚的心情。⑦挂活鸭:则希望日后回赠一只小猪给姑娘饲养,以备来年吃姊妹饭时,杀给大家吃,再度联欢。⑧放辣椒或大蒜:暗示以后不愿再来往或绝交.
